Our Pastor
Rev. Garrett Buvinghausen was installed as sole pastor at Bethany on October 28th, 2023. He holds a B.A. from Southwestern University, an M.A. in Youth Ministry from Huntington University, IN, and is a May 2019 graduate of Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, IN. He and his wife, Emilia, were married in May 2019, and they have been blessed with four living children. Pastor Buvinghausen enjoys spending time with his family, reading classic works of literature, collecting fountain pens, tinkering with his typewriters, and getting outside to enjoy God’s wonderful creation.

We are a confessional, liturgical congregation of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod in the beautiful and historic village of Wellington, Ohio. Please visit us on Sundays at 10:15am for Worship. Please come and share in the joy of Christ crucified for the forgiveness of sins delivered in His Word and Sacraments.We celebrate Holy Communion every 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sunday.
We desire all to join us in the Lord’s Supper, but unity in teaching and confession comes before unity in the Lord’s Supper. This is the historic and Biblical practice of closed communion.
